“Let there be light.”

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

But when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

“For this reason a man will leave his father (time) and mother (space) and be united to his wife (truth) , and the two will become one flesh (unity).” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ (soul) and the church (heaven).

“Teacher,” they said, “we know that you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are.”

At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.”

For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my beloved among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you.

“What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

… the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness…

Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has been good to you.

Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight.

“Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone.”

This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

He sighed deeply and said, “Why does this generation ask for a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to it.”

“But to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared.”

“For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.

At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.

“God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

if you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.

The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.

“Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.

I thank God, whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers.

I will maintain my innocence and never let go of it; my conscience will not reproach me as long as I live.

“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

As it is written: “The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little.”

It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak…

Jesus answered, “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going.

… And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered.
