“I want you to swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you will not get a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I am living, but will go to my country and my own relatives and get a wife for my son Isaac.”
To disrespect Bible is to disrespect Eve, Sarah, and Mary. Just as much as it is disrespecting our fore fathers. Never disrespect book of other because you love your own book. You love your Bible.
Hallelujah. If you are christians, you are children of Isaac. That’s the will that Abraham left for you. As christians marry only christian men and women. If you are in love, then not even God has anything to say in your affairs.
In countries where marriage is more cross-cultural, interracial and interfaith. Only good things come out of diversity. So basically it depends upon the level of faith on which you are standing.
I want to speak for diversity, that doesn’t mean I misinterpret the true will of Abraham for the children of Isaac. Canaanites are simply those who disrespect your book and your beliefs as blood lines of Isaac.
You are Bible clan. If you won’t respect your clan, no one else will. If you won’t respect your book, no one else will. If you won’t respect your Jesus, no one else will. Making Jesus cartoons is totally cool by the way. Not following christianity, is not. Particularly, where it is important.
Who am I to misinterpret Abraham’s will for his children. So I won’t lie about it. So if you are looking a marriage of faith, it is better that you marry those who read and believe in Bible.
If you are looking for a marriage of love, no one’s your judge. But two christians in love, can create amazing stories together.
I know interfaith marriage is the best way to dissolve distance between two faiths. It just doesn’t work in all faith cases just as smoothly.
Who do you marry matters, because with you marry your beliefs, your book, your faith. So marry someone from a faith who has enough respect for Bible. That’s it. Gracious. God Bless.
