When you move forward in life, you not only look forward, you also look back. I look back sometimes to look at Islam that I left behind and the distance that I’ve covered, and I look forward to look at love and the distance that remains to be covered.
Christianity is where I am standing, what I travel with, so never make your life all about your faith. It is a great dedication to make your life all about faith, but then doing the exact thing, you let some stones of faith unturned.
Love is something that you don’t understand. It is something that you just do. Thinking and feeling it is just as much of a practice as performing it. Love is simply an act of wanting.
I used to think that there are two paths that faith can guide you to. Love or freedom. Truth is, love tells you various degrees of freedom and freedom tells you various degrees of love.
Eternal love is the love of God, everything is included in it. Physical love is love of woman, spiritual love is love of faith.
If you are one of those people who’ve left behind a faith and are traversing on new roads, new challenges, never go back to the distance that you’ve just covered. Buddha once said, “There’s only two mistakes that you can make on the path of truth, never start, and never go all the way.”
A million doubts, a million doubters will cross your path, one moment of faith will liberate from all of them. Walk forward when you can’t run, crawl forward when you can’t walk… but keep moving forward.
Every time you arrive at a crossroad of faith, there’s a distance that you’ve travel, the crossroad is your present, and then you must turn left, right, or go straight. Always go straight because straight path is the best path.
