Life’s Greatest Lesson

With just one honest friend by your side, who you can trust with your everything, who would jump with you in fire, or over a cliff, who would go to betray everything for you, whether your country or religion, race or creed, whether his own family, who would go against his own truth for you. A friend you can touch and embrace, discuss and share your mind with.

The problem is never earning such friends, it is about the distance that can be traveled together. At some point there develops a crack, then the journey of ideas and adventure have all to be traveled alone. Eventually, some bail out on you for religion, some for country, some for family, some for money. Some for different reasons, some because it is never really in their control. Alone you travel as far as you can, it is a matter of time before you too tap out, go with the flow instead of riding through the storms.

It just takes one true friend, man or women, who you can shake your hands with, to achieve anything. Just one friend who would betray the world but never betray you. It’s not a lesson of faith, but of life, or perhaps both in the matter of journey. A very human realization.

A friend, who will never be your enemy, a friend you can tell, you can never be an enemy. A friend, worthy of all the adventure, a friend who may be very different from you, but never far away.

A friend who is never afraid of your weakness, never proud of your strength, never worried about your paranoia, but believes in you just like you’d believe in him.

It just takes two to conquer not only the world, but the entire universe, heavens and earth. It just takes two to do the impossible, three, is an overkill.

If someone did it all alone, it was Aleph, the invisible. Who has no religion or creed, yet, has everyone. A world of wonders and beauties, all kinds of truths and possibilities. A true master of real world, the dream world and beyond.

Walking the distance, we all bail out, quit things we venture out for. My realization is not different from my experience, you never get friends that can travel with you all the way. When it comes to Aleph, this body becomes a limitation. He goes away like a wind, we wash away with the dust. Among the invisibles and all the names and words I know, He is the strangest. In my encounters first few, back in green lands, He had confessed of his loneliness. Sharing just a little part of His loneliness, almost gives you a heart attack, takes your senses away. Unbearable, unsharable.

I always have people, there will always be people. I tried to find seclusion to know more about him, never got a clear shot. It takes months of seclusion and silence to get close, and green lush mountains and valleys. Everywhere else you go, you only take his name or memories. The truth of nature, always lives closest to the nature. I did learn a great deal later, none of it had the aleph moment or the Lucy experience. 2016 would forever wander in itself.

It just takes two to conquer not only the world, but the entire universe, heavens and earth. Just one honest friend by your side, then nothing is impossible. Just a dumb thought.
